PPHI Sindh is a non-profit making company incorporated under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017 (formerly Companies Rules, 1984). Its NPO (Non-Profit Organization) status is also recognized by the Pakistan Center for Philanthropies (PCP), a government-accredited body that recognizes non-profit organizations.
PPHI Sindh is registered with the Department of Economic Affairs, Government of Pakistan as a local NGO eligible for foreign aid. It is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven seasoned members with extensive and multi-disciplinary experience. They are represented by former officials of the Council of Secretaries (Health, Finance, Planning and Development and Population Welfare) from the Government of Sindh.
PPHI’s journey began in Kashmore district in 2007 and gradually spread to 22 districts of Sindh. This responsibility was first given to the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) in 2007 under an agreement with the Government of Sindh. In 2013, the organization registered with SECP (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan). The organization was established to revitalize health services in rural Sindh. Its immediate objective is to ensure that the health facilities referred to by PPHI are fully operational and that health services are accessible to all.
A dedicated and competent management team was appointed and worked diligently to achieve this objective. In the short term, health facilities are assured of regular presence of doctors and workers and continuous supply of medical supplies.
